We elevate blindness as society's most urgent problem that needs immediate solutions.

Reengineering blindness through unmatched advances in Artificial Intelligence, complement science (Factor H / Factor D), and low-cost global technology.

About Blindness

Blindness is more than vision loss — it's a crisis of dignity, opportunity, and care.

An extremely acute disorder that brings lifetime desperation, isolation, and in severe cases, suicidal thoughts. A poor blind person is often forced to navigate the world as a beggar, as a robot, constantly exploited by society. There is deep ignorance even amongst experts. This must change urgently.

  • At least 2.2 billion people globally have a near or distance vision impairment (WHO).
  • At least 1 billion of those cases could have been prevented or are yet to be addressed (WHO).
  • About 43 million people are blind worldwide (GBD 2020).
  • About 295 million people live with moderate or severe vision impairment (GBD 2020).
  • Annual global productivity losses from unaddressed vision impairment are estimated at about US$411 billion (WHO).
  • About 90% of people with unaddressed vision impairment live in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Leading causes include cataract, refractive error, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.
01

Lifetime Desperation

Millions live without access to care, facing isolation and economic hardship for life. In severe cases, suicidal thoughts follow.

02

Ignorance

There is deep ignorance even amongst experts. Lack of awareness and public funding delays research and support.

03

Isolation

A poor blind person is often forced to navigate the world as a beggar, as a robot, cut off from dignity and opportunity.

04

Exploitation

Vulnerable communities are left open to misinformation and inadequate or costly care. Society constantly exploits them.

Our Science · AI Solutions

Reengineering Blindness with AI

We combine scientific research with advanced AI to develop safe, accessible solutions.

01

Factor H/D Complement

Targeted research into complement pathways to address underlying causes of vision loss. Factor H is the brake, Factor D is the accelerator.

02

Artificial Intelligence

AI models predict disease progression, detect NAION risk with GLP-1, and guide early intervention for at-risk populations.

03

Technology Advances

Low-cost, scalable tools designed for global accessibility — including MetaAI vision glasses as a new walking and guidance tool for blindness.

Message of Light

Most blindness is preventable.

USPTO has issued a Notice of Allowance for the ETBONDAI, Inc mark “Prophylaxis and Therapy of Blindness.” From Blindness to Vision — bringing light to all. Advances in MetaAI vision glasses are a new walking tool for blindness.

3 preventable causes we can act on today

01

Diabetic Retinopathy

Get a yearly dilated eye exam if you have diabetes.

02

Glaucoma

Silent thief of sight. Family history? Get an eye pressure check after 40.

03

GLP-1 medicines & eye-stroke (NAION)

Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro — very rare risk (up to about 1 extra case in 10,000 users). Absolute risk is low, but know the red flag: sudden, painless loss of vision in ONE eye, often on waking → go the same day to eye emergency. Tell the doctor you are on a GLP-1. Do not restart until an eye doctor clears. Do not stop GLP-1 on your own — benefits are large; just know the symptom and act fast.

Early action saves sight. Get your own eyes checked. Help one person get checked. Gift sight — support the mission.
